Texas Gas Service is currently seeking a Contract Admin I in Austin, TX. In this role you will assist at an admin level with processing and maintaining land records (fee properties, right of way and easement agreements, payments for private land rights, lease renewals, inputs information into the applicable data management systems(s); Prepare, maintain, and/or process land records, leases and related documents. An ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in a contract support role.

Monitor payments written for private land rights. Complete regular status reports for lease renewals

Ensure all lease renewals are properly and timely routed and approved.

Input pertinent information into the appropriate Data Management System (Landworks, Mancheck)

Review required documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable contract provisions, regulations, policies and procedures.

Assist with correspondence. Assist with preparation of project files as needed.

Provide information and/or assistance to process stakeholders, either on the telephone or via email and/or fax, or at organized event(s).

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of right of way and easement agreements and related legal terminology.

Demonstrated ability to apply mathematic and/or algebraic formulas used in various spreadsheet applications.

Knowledge and/or training relative to:

  • Land law and/or land agreement preparation

  • Legal terminology

  • Interpersonal communications

Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Access or Lotus.

Experience applying generally accepted standards for grammar and punctuation.

Demonstrated ability to research and prepare land agreements, reports, and correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to interact with employees and customers and to communicate effectively.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legal descriptions and documents such as contracts, leases, industry and governmental regulations, forms, manuals, publications, Requests for Proposal (RFP's), maps and drawings, technical specifications, proposals/quotations, rate sheets, and correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to properly manage and retain documentation, including file management and scanning. #Officeoperations
