One Gas Tech Analyst II - Pipeline Systems / Engineering Services in Austin, Texas
Compile, verify, and/or prepare information, reports, and/or correspondence including but not limited to:
Capital job/work orders
Letters and memos to customers and employees
Legal descriptions for land measurement
New service requests
Provide information and assistance to customers, contractors, public works officials, employees and others concerning construction activity, job orders, billings and other related issues.
Coordinate gas construction with commercial and industrial customers.
Prepare estimates for construction and maintenance of new and existing gas distribution systems.
Create and/or maintain databases of site plans, CAD drawings and maps, and various other document sets.
Utilize surveying and measuring equipment to locate property markers, easements, and right of ways.
Utilize drafting computer and/or hand draw information including but not limited to:
Complex engineering drawings
Highway/railroad crossing permits
Right of way drawings
Pipeline alignment/site/profile drawings
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience in the use and function of drafting tools and office equipment applicable to position.
Application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of decimals and percentages. (Tested) Application of trigonometric and geometric formulas.
Experience and training related to:
Pipe, mechanical, and architectural drawing
Computer assisted drafting (CAD) systems
English usage and spelling
Drawing on job orders, completion reports, and related information
Working knowledge of Stoner Modeling application.
Extensive experience drawing, posting, and/or plotting maps, atlas pages, plats, legal descriptions, and diagrams.
Experience reading, interpreting, and/or preparing written information including but not limited to:
Gas rate schedules
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 2 3 times a week; up to 30 pounds 3 4 times a month.
Stationary for extended periods.
Fine motor skills to draw minute details.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information and instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
