One Gas Tech Analyst, Drafting in Harlingen, Texas
Performs advanced level of editing activities involved in maintaining and posting complex information associated with job order completion reports, engineering drawings, and various GIS entities including distribution mains, services, pressure systems, leaks, corrosion, and miscellaneous reporting.
Utilize computer and GIS software and information including but not limited to:
Complex engineering/distribution drawings
Pipeline alignment/site/profile drawings
Service Line drawings
Assist and/or verify work of less experienced draftspersons.
Operate and/or maintain equipment including but not limited to:
General knowledge and use of plotter equipment
Changing/refilling paper and/or inks in copiers, printers and plotters
Perform activities associated with entering and editing data into GIS as specified by position.
Post, verify and/or prepare information including but not limited to:
Job orders/mains, services, line location/right-of-way
Pipe and Network Nodes
Completion reports and redlines
Utilize surveying and measuring equipment to locate property markers, easements, and right-of-ways.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience in the use and function of drafting tools and office equipment applicable to position.
Knowledge of distribution/transmission pipeline operations and government regulations.
Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of decimals and percentages. Application of trigonometric and geometric formulas.
Experience and training related to:
Pipe, mechanical, and architectural drawing
Computer assisted drafting (CAD) systems
ArcMap software and database functions as specified by position
English usage and spelling
Microsoft OfficeÂ® productivity software
Portable Document Format (pdf) productivity software
Experience drawing, posting, and/or plotting maps, atlas pages, plats, legal descriptions, and diagrams.
Experience reading, interpreting, and/or preparing completion reports and redlines, written instructions, material lists, right-of-way information, maps, blueprints, and legal descriptions.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 2 3 times a week; up to 30 pounds 3 4 times a month.
Stationary for extended periods.
Fine motor skills to draw minute details.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information and instructions.
Interpersonal communication skills.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
