One Gas Sr. Executive Compensation Consultant in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Position Description:

  • Works closely with Total Rewards Director, Compensation Manager, and select senior leadership to support the planning and implementation of executive compensation programs

  • Administers the equity compensation program for officers and non-officers

Essential Functions

  • Prepares materials related to executive compensation for the compensation committee of the Board of Directors

  • Leads the writing process of the compensation discussion and analysis (CD&A) of the proxy filing as well as provides data and analysis for compensation related tables

  • Functions as the equity plan administrator including owning the long-term incentive process by providing market data and recommendations on participation levels, consolidating and reporting on business recommendations, managing the third-party vendor to maintain employee information, processing all equity grants and distributions, and providing information to employees, supervisors, executives and other impacted stakeholders (as specified by position)

  • Manages the consistent implementation of a base compensation and job design framework for executive roles

  • Conducts executive compensation benchmarking to support competitive analysis of compensation programs and performs trend analysis and industry best practices research to support decision making

  • Performs research as needed to support solving complex compensation issues related to executive compensation and/or long-term incentives

  • Partners with the Corporate Secretary team on executive compensation programs

  • Works with the legal department on the annual officer incentive and equity compensation plan design and documentation

  • Collaborates with compensation committee consultant as well as other external consultants as needed

  • Leads and/or performs other related activities as assigned

  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:

  • Experience and thorough knowledge of various compensation functions and processes involved in plan design, pay administration, and job evaluation

  • Experience analyzing, compiling, calculating, and/or preparing job information and market data. Comprehensive knowledge of job information across all business units.

  • Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including utilizing computers (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Application of math and algebraic formulas.

  • Experience and training related to:

  • Human Resources computer applications (ERP/HRIS) and report-writer applications

  • Governmental regulations applicable to compensation activities

  • Human Resources policies and procedures

  • Position restructuring

  • Written communication skills

  • Interpersonal/communication skills

  • Experience developing and conducting salary, market, and/or benefit surveys, compiling data, and preparing related recommendations

  • Experience researching, analyzing, and preparing reports, questionnaires, surveys, job descriptions, policies, procedures, and correspondence

  • Experience interacting, training, and communicating effectively

  • Experience developing information, conducting meetings, and making presentations to groups and individuals
